Heart Of The Home

To me, this season is not just about leafs that change color, rainy days and new additions to my wardrobe. It is also a time of traditions (e.g. Halloween, Thanksgiving) and mostly when it comes to traditions, there is food involved. And not just some random food, but seasonal favorites like pumpkin pie - or pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin dinners, pumpkin everything for that matter - applie pie, roasted chicken, different spices... Ok, well, you might notice I don't have the best examples (and that I am a pumpkin fan). What can I say, I am just not the cook in the relationship; I am the lucky one who enjoys delicious home cooked meals pretty much every day. I am spoiled. Yes, I know.

Anyway, in my opinion it was about time for a new home inspiration post since the last one, so I thought I'd share some pictures of a certain part of the home: the kitchen, also know as "the heart of the home". Especially this season...

As you probably guessed, the last picture isn't someone's kitchen... But wouldn't it be awesome if it was?!

You have some fantastic taste and I've had some kitchens very close to a lot of these styles. So this is what I've learned through life after having a lot of different types of kitchens. 1. Stainless steel in large quantities is a pain! Finger prints everywhere, all the flipping time. No matter how often you polish and clean you will never win the battle. Especially if you have kids. 2. Lots of white surfaces shows marks really really easily. If anything with oil, tomato, saffron, or turmeric ever comes into contact with any of the white painted surfaces, it will never EVER come off completely and your kitchen will look like it's dirty no matter how much you clean it. Therefore, I vote for that amazing green kitchen. It's got a warm feeling to the whole thing and seems like it might be a little more forgiving of actual living in it. You've now got me wanting to go look at kitchen designs lol. xoxo

I love these pics! There's something about that third one that I particularly love though. I think it's the creamy colored cabinets, the dark hardwoods & the paneled ceiling...it's gorg...I want it.

So loving that second to last kitchen. I'm a biiiiiiig food person, as is the rest of my family, so we tend to spend a lot of time in the kitchen when we're all together, especially during the winter months. Love this post and great selection lovely :)
