Guess what, this blouse is another item I found in my mom's closet (and the belt, too)! Besides my awesome vintage blazer, this must be the only other purple item in my closet. The blouse is super soft, a bit 'weird' in fact, and I am not sure what kind of material it is, but I assume it's silk. Slowly but surely I am running out of premiering the items I raided, but man I am still so excited about it! Did you notice that most of the items have shoulder pads in them? I never was a fan of them... until now. The straps of my bags finally don't fall off my tiny shoulders anymore. Ok, well, they still do, but at least not every 5 seconds :-)

Ha ha, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who found the secret advantage of shoulder pads :) I stole a few blouses from my mom with them for the exact same reason. This purple on is just gorgeous!

Ok, firstly I'm going to guess that the blouse is a sueded silk. I had a rose coloured one like that which I also acquired from raiding my mother's closet. Secondly, I strongly recommend leaving the shoulder pads in it. I removed the ones in mine as an experiment and it strongly affected the silhouette and it didn't hang as nicely on me. And I adored the softness of the material so I'm betting you're loving this one. Thirdly, those shoes!!!! I immediately had to click on the link and go check them out. They're so quirky and pretty all at the same time. So wonderful. I really wish I had the money right now to get them. Argghhh. I'm just going to have to keep my eye on them and see if they can hold out until next months clothing budget opens up. Fingers crossed!
