After walking around downtown for what seemed forever (I am picky when it comes to picture backgrounds), we finally found a great spot to shoot my outfit tonight. The sun set and it created this "magical" light, which gave the pictures a really nice effect. And it's the perfect way to introduce you to yet another buy from my trip to Netherlands back in June: this gorgeous lemon-y pleated skirt from COS. It's such a fun color and after seeing a similar skirt on my blogger friend Cee, I felt inspired to go on a hunt myself. Random funny fact related to this: Cee named one of her posts "limoncello" as well - which I only noticed after naming this post - I guess the Italian name (a type of lemon liqueur) just sounds so much more appealing than your standard English "lemon". I could have changed it into Dutch ("citroen") or German ("Zitrone") as well, but you see, it's just not the same. So Cee, I hope you're ok with me feeling all inspired by you in this post. And to the rest of you: happy (almost) Wednesday! Yay!

This post made me smile - Limoncello really is the perfect title for a post featuring a yellow pleated skirt; citroen and zitrone just aren't the same. I don't mind you taking inspiration from me, anyway; if anything, I'm flattered! And amazed, actually, at how much this skirt resembles the one I have from Club Monaco. I've found my to be shockingly versatile, and I can't wait to see what other looks you'll come up with for yours :)
